about Nicki
I am a common sense problem solver at work and in life. As the first point of contact for most people reaching out to our firm, I love hearing their unique stories and finding a way to connect them with help, whether that is legal advice from someone on our team, or another resource.
I have worked in law firms for more than 30 years, and with Forte Workplace Law since 2017. A big part of my job here is to take calls from people who have legal problems at work and need help. Many people calling in have never hired a lawyer before and don’t have any idea what to expect. I am not a lawyer either, so I can understand why they might be worried. I always explain our fees and process up front so that they know what to expect.
Matchmaking is a good word I can use to describe what I do. I know all of our lawyers really well and I listen to the clients to figure out who will be the best fit for them. I take into account our lawyers’ professional specialties but also their personalities and approach. It is really satisfying to know that the the clients I speak to will be well taken care of by the lawyer I book them with.
Outside of work, my husband and I pretty much always have a home renovation on the go, and I can definitely swing a hammer. I love travelling with friends and family, whether that is camping with friends and family locally or to farther off destinations. I am an animal lover, and my dogs have a big part of my heart. On days I work remotely from home, I often have my two dogs and my cat curled around my feet while I am talking to people calling in.

In these unprecedented times, as an employee, I found myself in a situation where I needed advice, current and fast. I called Forte Law and after speaking with Nikki I knew I was at the right place for the advice I needed.

For many of us seeking the services of a lawyer is a daunting task and often one we do under stressful circumstances […] From the initial phone call with [Forte Law’s] legal assistant Nicki who listened attentively and was very supportive, to the consultation with Jessica and her colleague Harmit there was a genuine caring and a focus on the circumstances.
