about Adele
“Finding answers in the law to put my client’s best case forward in court or negotiations is what drives me.”
After more than 30 years of experience as a lawyer, I still love the challenge of a new problem to solve. My practice is built on experience and solid relationships, and my approach is hardworking and straightforward. For many years, I had a broad civil litigation practice that mostly included employment law and human rights files. Since joining Forte Workplace Law, I am focussing exclusively on employment law and workplace human rights for this next chapter of my career.
I am proud to have represented clients across all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as before administrative tribunals. Recently, I represented a client before the BC Human Rights Tribunal and obtained an award in excess of $600,000 in a case about racial discrimination.
I advise both workers and businesses. I am experienced in drafting and interpreting employment contracts and non-competition agreements, advising on terminations, exit strategies, severance packages, discipline and performance management, workplace harassment, and discrimination issues. I am committed to finding effective strategies to resolve conflict and pursuing litigation when necessary.
I was raised in the Fraser Valley and in turn raised my own family here. With my kids now off to university and into the workforce, I am leaning into my law practice with renewed energy and excitement for the future! In my spare time you can find me volunteering with my church, thrifting and spending time with family and friends.
