Christie Gilmour, Labour and Employment Lawyer
I am an employment lawyer, and practice exclusively in the areas of employment law, and workplace human rights. Solving work-related legal problems is all that I do, from hiring to firing, and everything in between.
I was raised in South Surrey and am now raising my own family in White Rock. After attending law school in Halifax and 6 years of practicing law with a firm in Vancouver, I joined Forte Law in Surrey in 2017. I am excited to be serving clients in this great community.
You might run into me and my family in the community, attending local events like the Fire Hall and Police Station Open House or Storytime at Semiahmoo Mall, walking along the beach or through the trails, or at the local shops, libraries, parks and children’s activity centres. You also might see me virtually commenting on or posting information to local interest groups and may recognise me from the field/rink as I used to play competitive softball, AAA ice hockey and many other sports and have done some volunteer coaching.
I have always tried to give back to my community, and, among other things, have organized and volunteered at local charity events, provided pro bono (free) legal advice and services to individuals in need, and been a mentor to local law students and young lawyers.
