The best part of my job is helping people, in big ways like representing clients in court, but also in small ways like remembering small personal details, and proactively following up with clients so they don’t have to wonder what is happening. My goal is for my clients to feel taken care of.
The best compliments I get about my work are when clients refer their friends to me, saying they know they will be in good hands. Work is a central part of everyone’s life and through my practice as an employment lawyer, litigator and workplace investigator, I am able to make a positive impact. I practice exclusively in the areas of employment law, and workplace and human rights. I focus on assisting employers and employees to solve their workplace problems.
I am originally from Southern California where I attended law school and practiced as a commercial litigator in a large U.S firm for several years. I relocated to Richmond, B.C. over 10 years ago with my husband and three kids and worked for a large regional firm in Vancouver for several years before deciding to focus my practice on employment law. I have spent the past six years working with employees and employers to avoid workplace conflicts as well as assisting them with court actions when needed.
I love speaking about workplace issues and regularly conduct seminars on issues like harassment and workplace safety. I am a passionate facilitator of our firm’s StandUP Teams™ program and really enjoy getting to know participants in the workshop style of training we deliver.
When I am not working, I spend a great deal of my time on the soccer pitch watching all three of my children play in soccer in Richmond. I love traveling all over B.C. with my family, especially over to Tofino and all parts of Vancouver Island. I am also grateful to give back to our community on the Board of Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver. I am also privileged to volunteer with Mamas for Mamas, a local organization which supports mothers and families in need.
We’ve been working with Jessica Forman for many years and truly value not just her expertise, but her partnership. It was a no-brainer for us to continue working with her as she joined Forte Law. We always know we’re in good hands with Jessica who seamlessly guides us through compliance, interpretation and process with transparency and professionalism.
A friend recommended Forte Law and I knew immediately upon meeting with Jessica Forman and Sarah Ewart that I would be in good hands. They were able to provide much needed clarity, guidance, and emotional distance. They also were able to generate an action plan and lay out the responses and steps that I could anticipate along the way – which led to a successful resolution of the issue during a very emotionally charged time (with very little effort on my part). I am quite confident that engaging Forte Law made for a much more pleasant and efficient process. I would not hesitate to recommend Jessica and Sarah to anyone in a similar situation.
Jessica Forman and Forte Law were such a tremendous help when I needed legal employment advice. I was going though such a hard time and had no idea on what steps to take. She was extremely compassionate and informative. She guided me through the whole process with professionalism and excellent ongoing communication. Jessica was so supportive from the moment I reached out and always looked after my well being. I’m forever thankful for their help. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending her and her team. There is no doubt you will obtain the best service possible.
Jessica and all the Forte Law team were absolutely amazing! She took the time to explain every single detail and she was a big support throughout the process. She makes sure that her clients are informed of any update regarding the legal process. I will be forever thankful for everything Jessica did and all the effort they put into my case to finally getting a positive and successful result. I couldn’t have had a better experience and I highly recommend Jessica Forman.
Finding an agreeable solution with respectful communication and negotiation was important. This was done within a reasonable time frame and cost. Jessica was excellent in explaining all the legal aspects of my case and ensured I was comfortable with the guidance offered every step of the way. Her friendly approach and attention to detail creates trust with clients which is vital in this work where each case is sensitive and has unique circumstances and outcomes. Like many of the reviews I highly recommend Jessica and her team at Forte Law for their services and should the situation arise will have no hesitation in hiring them again.
